This is my second attempt on creating a "HALO" Inspired Gunpla. First was the MC01 (MG Zaku ver.1 conversion to Master Chief)This time i used a Master Grade 1/100 scale GM Type C (Kai) and a red/maroon color scheme. Mostly the modification done are more on detailing the kit itself including kit-bashing the torso of NG 1/100 00 gundam for me to accomplish the armor like design of the MJOLNIR.I also did not used any decals since the inspiration does not have decals as well.Details of the Materials, Tools and parts used for this build can be seen in the last photo. Hope you like it.

Again another post not related to gunpla or any of my hobby. Another year have passed on me it's been a tough and a very enjoyable year for me, there a lot of changes at the office, i've gain more new friends in our hobby and i got some commissions that i didn't accept :D

So what do i have plan in mind for this day? first clean my work area, prepare all my tools and materials, and wake-up the devil sleeping inside of me. It's been two months already that i'm being lazy and haven't touch current project.

My Wife surprise me last night when she brought home my favorite ICE CREAM! Haagen-Dazs!!! yeah i'm an ice cream freak. Everything can be resolved with ice cream!

I would like thank my wife,family, and my true friends from the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore for supporting me all these years. Thank you very much to all my readers as well that visit as well this simple and small blog that even though i posted a very non-sense post/topic they are still people that reads them. Thanks to be people who are lurking on me :).

And thanks as well to the others who curse and badmouth about me all i can say to them is, "He he :P"

NEW CUSTOM TEMPLATE

Today i was able to finish my newest custom template, i make it more sci-fi like but yet simple enough so that it won't take long to load the pages and images. It's been a few days and all i can see and hear are the devastating scene in Japan. All over the world, people give sympathy on our fellow Japanese. I don't want to make this post as long as the others because we already know the situation is, we don't need to repeat it over and over again. The only thing i can say is.

To all the readers, to the people who have relatives in Japan and especially the Japanese readers. Keep up your faith and motivate each other and believe that JAPAN WILL RECOVER!

today i receive a company email that my company have vowed to donate $5,000,000 dollars. All these funds will help set up temporary shelters, provide medical assistance and sanitation, and handle the most pressing issues immediately following the disaster.

Finally able to complete this commission work. This a mush up concept of MG 00[Q] and MG unicorn. Just by looking at the two different kits this is already a challenge because of the scale and size issue of parts. Luckily my imagination kick-in on this very well.

The kit is painted with Lacquer and Acrylic paints and enamel pin washes. This supposed to be finish last year December but because of lack of available materials and the cold weather here during the build caused some delays.

Just like most of my works this kit have a BFG the GUNNILDR Espada (Gun Sword). It's 10 inches long and holds a lot of fire power using Pshycho frame technology with GN drive (Completed by using Unicorn legs and adding MG 00Q parts.

On this build since it's a commission i build a box for it specifically for the uniqx. It's simple but still it completes the whole package.

Today i fulfilled again one my childhood dreams... create and sell my own created model kit. So here are the photos.

really small update:

i just want to show to my client how the knees look like, after this i'll start on the other detailing stuff, then priming and painting this kit. :) This commission will be completed soon.

Besides applying pla-plates or putty to bulk a particular part of a kit, another way is by using the "inner-extension" method. (Yeah i just made that name up again) If you are an avid fan of WIP threads you might have seen this process before it is simply adding the pla plate or plastic beam on the inner connector rather than adding pla plate and putty, and after that you will encounter a monstrous sanding process. (Which i really hate!)

This inner-extension method will also create an illusion of part exposure, and just to take note this process is not applicable to all kits or concept i must say. this process require experience, research, patience and imagination. -_- ok i'll just the photos i'm being very talkative on this post already.

00 Uniqx Commision WIP III

a couple of updates:

- finally able to adopt the skirts of Unicorn to 00Q.
- added panel lines to arms and legs
- added the sword bits to the arms (no modification done, i only did a small attachment for it. :) will post about it after finishing this kit)
- client also agreed on the v-fins concept so already modified it and put it into place.

Just before Christmas, i want to show some progress on my commission build, nothing much though just initial bashing and detailing done. I'm still not that sure on the v-fin concept i have hope the client will like it.

- added the unicorn shoulder to 00Q (plain kitbash process)

- cleanup of the kit

Custom Zeon Respirator and updates on my work area

Today i bought a couple of new tools for my work area and decided to personalize my respirator and my tool tray. I also created my own spraying booth made of sheet of plastics. I designed my Tool tray based on the current tools that i always use. Made it using HIPS (High Impact Sheets) which is very cheap compare to Tamiya Plastic Beams. I putted some Hooks that holds my Pliers and Side Cutters. I'm not sure if i have mentioned this but i also bought another table :D (I got four tables now in my work area). I'm currently getting addicted pimping my work area rather than my kits. I also move the computer table to the other side of the room.

00 Uniqx Commision WIP

This will be my commission build for a friend, He is also a modeler and joining BMKWC. It seems he really like the concept of his previous entry and this time he want's me to build it. The main idea is combining Gundam Unicorn and Gundam 00 Quanta. below are the photos of his previous entry by combining, Unicorn, GNX, Exia, and Double 00 Gundam. The concept is great but there are some flaws on the finish build, probably that's why he would need my help on this.

One thing i can say about the MG 00Q. GET IT! the kit have no seamlines at all! What a great job bandai! i was able to dismantle the parts of the 00Q even without using a knife or looking in the manual. Preparing the parts for removing nub marks and painting.

before i continue on this WIP i will finish my SD Knight gundam first. So stay tune! this will be a fast one.

SD Knight Gundam - WIP II

don't know how to start this second WIP of my SD knight, i'll keep it brief and short.

the first part of this WIP i extended the legs/foot to change proportions, and i feel the proportion is still not enough and i need more articulations. XD (silly hands)

i saw the part in two using a micro-saw and put a PC part in foot and a ball joint in the legs

i modified the skirt armor as well

This kit is originally a SD valla knight gundam and includes the normal knight gundam version. This kit includes the shield of the knight gundam but without a holding part and a holster for the sword. I modified the shield so that i can use it.

current proportion

and the proportion is not enough, so i decided to add articulation on the body.

i cut the body in two (quite difficult because this kit is small unlike the new SD's today)

i'll be using this ball like parts from an old toy i had.

i cut the balls on the side and trim it to fit in to the lower part of the body

and put the other ball joint on the upper body

Here is another quick project from me, At first i really have no plans posting a WIP but i think i should do because the process is really simple yet very effective in my opinion. So I hope you'll enjoy this wip and learn something new. :)

Here is my new project SD Knight Gundam. as always i worked again on a kit that nobody care to mods or to built XD. So i hope i'll be able to give this little guy some respect.

one of my concern on this kit are the arms, they are really small and no articulation at all. It looks like some free toy from a snack or a candy. So first thing to do is add some articulation

i cut the arms in two pieces separating the upper shoulder and arms.

i cut the inner side of the arm to serve as a space for the PC part that i will use.

now this PC part we often disregard and apparently only being used in necks, what i did is cut both male pegs at the bottom and cut a hole on the side part This is where the peg of the arm will slide through.

now to show how it will work, just put the pieces together

as you can see the ball part of the PC part serve as a connecter to the upper shoulder and fits exactly on it.

On the body i replace the orignal PC part for the legs with a longer one just like the one below

it adds a little length and to add more length on the lower part of the kit. i added some parts to create a simple legs structure compose of (Balloon sticks, PC part that will fit inside and a 3mm round plastic beam from tamiya)

and here is the result

proportion wise it looks better, arms can now move and show some action pose. Hope you learn something new on this.

currently i can't continue on this kit for now because my AB's needle is broken T_T. need to replace the part first

Here is my entry on the previous Mechapinoy F144 contest.

First i plan to do a simple OOTB build but it seems my hands is very itchy to do mods. I only got three days to finish this so keep the mods to minimal like added panel lines on the body, added koto's msg to replace the eye and add some tamiya bearings to the thrusters.

This is also part 1 of my next diorama operation capture jaburo. I'm still undecided which kit should i do next the gogg or acguy? Well keep visiting this site so that you won't miss what kit will be next :).

Mechapinoy F144 and IPMS

Here are the result of the Mechapinoy F144 this year.

Mechapinoy F144 is being held every year and one of the most awaited in house contest of Mechapinoy. You consider it a simple competition but a very tough one because of the very strict judjing about the basics in modelling including removal of seamlines, paint finish, and even weathering. So i'm quite proud on my finished entry on this. It's the first time i've done pre-shading and first time i like my paint finish hahaha. Below are the results and the photos of the other entries and the IPMS event are on a slideshow below this post. Kamen Rider + Gundam + Digimon concept

I would like to share to everyone my lastest build for this year and will be the last completed kit for this year.

first i would like to explain the concept and where i get the details and design i have come-up with.

Since Bandai have been releasing Kamen Rider model kits and this November they will be releasing a Digimon model kit, i just thought what if the Master gundam was piloted by a Kamen Rider then he integrated a digimon system as a weapon. XD yeah another day that i think like a child.

concept:
- Master Gundam (a second hand scrap kit that i bought)

- Kamen Rider (bandai have been releasing various kame rider figures and i really love the simplicity of the design yet it showcase a cool and vibrant concept, which i chose to integrate to this build)

- Digimon i like the new digimon kit and the weapons it have, so i created my own concept of the hand weapon, adding a dragon like head, hyper gama weapon and i also make the outer shell of it as a big shield.
i call it HMDWS (Hyper Mode Digi Weapon System) XD ok another thing i just made up.

It's nice to be a child don't you think?

- The story of the diorama is simply what the title says. This new mobile armor is a cross-over over a cross-over basically giving birth to a new breed. It attacks an enemy base and from that i picture out a scene where there is a falling part of the building and there are people below it. This is my first attempt on adding an explosion effect on the diorama and i must say it's not bad at all. (but still needs some practice!)

- I use almost the same color scheme of the flag of the Philippines (my country) Red + Blue + Yellow

- I also added LED to the God Hand so that it will light up :)

Philippine's BAKWC 2010 Statistics

Ok not really statistics of the event but this is a part of my process when i join BAKUC 2009 last year.

Last year i research who are my co-competitors, so it has a been habit lately. Getting information and skills of fellow modeler's in the Philippines through-out the year before the year-end competition is really fun! :D

Based on my current research here are my following headcounts assumption for BAKWC 2010 Participants

Also there some participants that is not active in any forums at all.

I really like the statistics as of now. It will be a Gunpla CLAN WARS! hohoho, so what group are you in? :D

Mamang passed away...

I don't want to get to emotional since crying will make my colds worst... but i still want to express the sadness i feel...

Today, Rosario G. Paler also known as Mamang to her relatives and close friends passed away at 5:15pm at MCI, Imus Cavite... I treated Mamang as my third Grandmother, we're not related by blood but the love and passion she gave to all JT Brothers especially to me is unmeasurable.

It was last month when i last seen her, and she was sick but i didn't hesitate to approach her and give her a kiss in the cheeks. When i started working i rarely seen Mamang because i'm always busy and tired but whenever we meet i would always left a smile in her face... I miss her. My Grandmother on both father and mother side already passed away and she is the only one left that i treated like a relative, like my real Grandmother. Now she's gone... i feel empty again... but I'm also happy since now she can rest in peace with Papang (Her husband that already passed away). Wherever you are always be happy and never forget all the smile and laughter we shared... I can still remember that she will always buy me Ice cream and Hansel (a biscuit that i truly love) whenever I'm in her house.

We will forever miss you Mamang! Maraming Maraming Salamat sa pag-aalaga, pag-papayo at pag-gabay sa amin... T_T We Love you Mamang!

Today i finally able to fix my Compressor. Yipee!

So i did a little cleanup of my work area as well.

Right now i have four tables in my working area.

the current place have a high ceiling so i added some planks to have additional storage area for the boxes and below is i added some hook to accommodate my pilates mat, my acoustic guitar and my tripod. I also put a couch in my place.

the other side is where i put display cab and some storage area.

first table is my gadget area where i put all my techie stuffs, laptop, blackberry, phones, etc.

second table is my workbench where all the magic happens... hihihi

third table is my artist area where all paintings and decal placements are done.

fourth table is where i put my AB set and other stuff i don't have any place to put to.

Also right now this is my favorite past time snack. Oatmeal cookies from Quacker Oats

And this is my favorite bar stool. I really like this because it's stainless steel and the back support and the seat itself is made of hard plastic so even if i'm sweaty i don't need to worry that my seat will smell odd in the future.

Master Gundam - WIP

It's time for a new WIP - This is for Super Robot Group build in

Do not confuse yourself if your thinking about super robot model kits. As an explanation in ZeroG this is regarding mecha's with super robot abilities like Demonbane, evangelion, linebarrel, etc, that have the capabilities to boost their energy to almost an infinity just like Super Saiyan's :)

since most of my collection are gunpla's i decided to use Master Gundam. yup! G Gundam mecha's are considered because Master can go through hypermode!

To be honest i had a difficult time finding some reference to this kit. Despite the good articulation of the inner skeleton it seems this kit is not so popular in modeler's. It's even hard to find a wallpaper for this kit @_@.

I have this kit for very cheap from amir_anti_yosi a fellow modeler as well, and it was considered as scrap. Loose joints everywhere! but as i check screws are just missing and some parts was connected on the wrong location. :) kit is painted as well but good to know the paint used is hobby acrylic paints. As far as i know amir got this in second-hand status as well hehehe so this is already third-hand when i got it?

so enough with the chit-chat...

Ok as i go through this wip i will try to include some reviews on this as well.

first stop! body seamline.

below is the finish modifications i did following the guide above.

the bottom part of the upper body is customized as well to adapt on the new construction of the outer armor.

this part was cut through and peg on middle of it is trim down as well so that instead of attaching it to the upper armor it will be sliding instead.

here is the explanation of the new construction process.

first part is attaching the back portion of the armor.

then followed by sliding the belly lower armor into the body.

then the last part is just putting the upper front armor on the top.

though it can still be considered a seamline, but you can leave it as is since it can be considered as a permanent seamline and a design as well.

After a 7 WIP threads for this Tieren, this project is now completed.

I name the small diorama as - "rescue our comrade" hope you guys/gals like it!

and Armored Core CREST CR-C75U2 Delta Ver.

I combine both concept on having a four legged 1/100 scale tieren + the two cannon concept from armored core but still with my own design and rendition. :)

TIEREN MAMMOTH - WIP 7 diorama

Here is a simple tutorial how to make a diorama using Plaster powder.

Materials:

Old picture frame - (i used my deceased father in law old picture frame that was about to be thrown away.)

Rope - you can find it in fisherman's items store or probably in the hardware's

Plaster Powder

cork board sheet

small rocks

tissue

Styrofoam

Cheap Acrylic paints

Oil Pastel

Lighter fluid

masking tape

wood glue

here are some of the materials (masking tape, wood glue, Oil pastel, acrylic and lighter fluid not included in this photo)

ok first you need to put masking tape on the frame.

cut some block of styro and attach it using a glue or wood glue. The styro will serve as a rocky slope, mountain or rock pile in your diorama.

next crumple some news paper just like what you see below. This will give more mountain like structures in your diorama.

on the floor itself put a crumpled news paper on top of it. It will give a uneven ground work later.

Now that our main setup for the diorama is ready let's go on ahead and play with the plaster powder.

the things you will need are;

a container where to put your plaster powder

another container for water

tissue

water

and of course the plaster powder

ok first we need to unpack the plaster powder and put it on a container

now look at that white powder, even without touching it, it already look like an awesome groundwork.

then next is preparing your tissue's

have a couple of this tissue strips. This is the alternative if you are using the Plaster of Paris where a Gauss is used.

now that the powder is ready and we have tissue strips, let's start working on the diorama.

first put the tissue paper in the container with water for 1 second then put it in the diorama (you need to be fast in this or you will have difficulty laying out the tissue)

then using a cup get some plaster powder

put it on the wet tissue paper

you can use a wet sponge to spread it.

or using the sponge, wet the diorama using the sponge then spread the powder with finger. (Don't do this if you're eating and working at the same time. :P)

continue doing it until you cover the whole diorama. Now that it's all covered up let's wait for it to dry. (Isn't it easy?) Just wait for 30 to 1 hour to let it dry.

Now let's get the rope that we have earlier. Credits to fichtenfoo for this amazing technique.

ok first we need to reconsider the scale here is the comparison of the 1/100 figure and the rope. you can see that there are some rope strips that is too big for the figure.

so what we need to do is separate the thinner one's from the thicker one's.

now we have a much better looking grass work later. (It's still look a little out of scale if you ask me. :D)

ok now let's go back to the diorama. Here are some shots of the unpainted ground work using plaster powder.

now after waiting for the plaster to dry up, It's now as hard as rock! it's now time for PAINTING!!!

ok get yourself some cheap poster acrylic paints.

color used: red, yellow, black, mahogany(or brown will do)

mixed it all together to create the ground color just like below

mixture(5% red, 10% yellow, 5% brown, 1% black, 79% water)

Yes this mix will have more water because we will do a wash + sponge technique

Using a sponge dip it in the mixture and damp it on the diorama. Oops! don't brush it! just damp it and let the mixture flow on the diorama, just doing it you can now already see the details of your ground work

continue doing it until you cover all the areas.

Now using the rock/ground we can mix it with the paint we have and add it to our diorama.

here it is after adding some rock's/ground to our diorama.

now let's wait for about 30 minutes to 1 hour to let the first paint coat to dry.

ok once it's dry we will do another wash. using 10% black and 90% water mixture.

using the sponge + wash technique we did earlier, apply it again but this time using the black wash mixture we have.

then wait for another 30 minutes to 1 hour to let it dry.

Now after waiting let's get that oil pastel and create a pastel mixture

here i used the golden pastel. (hmm sounds fancy)

using the hobby knife i grated the oil pastel and thinning it with a lighter fluid.

now using a brush i applied it on our diorama. Once it all dry up we will have nice dry looking ground work.

And in case you are wondering where did i use the cork sheet. Well i used it in the bottom of the frame because as you can see below the back board of a picture frame is all wet-up because it's only maid of paper-like material.

so just let your diorama dry up and we're all done! Now isn't it easy?

Updates:
Followed advices from fellow modelers and added washes. I still need to get use to this technique as well but so far I'm loving it!

I was able to finish the two arm guns as well.

On the rear part of this project i feel it's quite empty. so i decided to put a GN generator-like device with cable attach to the back where the two big cannons. Now it looks that the cannons is being powered by the GN generator. :) make sense to me.

Here are some bonus shots and recently i discovered a new Battle version for this build.

featuring Tieren Tusk - simply putting the two arm guns on the shoulder gives it a new feel. :)

I Quit MAC Forums officially

I know i shouldn't post about this but i feel i have to.

Today i officially quit being an Admin and a member of MAC Forums/MAC Community. I don't have any grudge on the group, so far everything is doing great around there. So don't misunderstood why i'm leaving.

Having a stressful life right now and being an Admin on the forum is not a really good idea. So as of now i don't have any Filipino groups that i belong with.

I will be more active in zerog foums though because i feel really relax over there. I might lose some viewers on this blog but i really don't care, not that i don't care about those people but it's more like it really doesn't affect if they view here or not. I enjoy this hobby a lot and i do hope the viewers that is viewing my blog will learn and enjoy the hobby with me.

update: This is my first time doing serious weathering and i thought it would be nice to try dry brushing.

Added some post shading on the Leg guards armor to add depth and i added also some dry brushing as well.

on the back shoulder where the big two cannons are attached. I used a tamiya gears to create an image that it is a working gears to move the two cannons. On the gears i use dry brushing as well and added Tamiya weathering(Orange rust) to get that look.

I added some post shading of black on the whole kit as well.

Two big cannons and two arm guns are left and this kit is completed. Until the next update! :)

Preparing your sand papers

here is a simple tutorial how to prepare your sandpapers for those who doesn't use file or sanding sponge.

We're doing this to avoid wasting a lot of sand papers and making a messy looking sand papers just like below. (look a those edges). yeah lesson learned.

first here are the sandpapers i just bought (if you have seen my tips on organizing your paints these sand papers where bought on the same day.)

grit: 400 and 1200

Now you will need a ruler and a cutter or art knife. I use an aluminum ruler because i might end up cutting the ruler as well if use a plastic type. Also i suggest you use a cutter instead of your art knife or you will end up having a super smooth edge on the blade that couldn't cut anymore... T_T silly me.

Now fold the sandpaper in half.

Align the ruler on the folded intersection and just run the cutter on it just like what you see below.

continue on folding and cutting the sandpaper until you end up on a small size sand paper.

the size of this is very ideal because it also an ideal size if you're going to use it as a sanding stick.

Now to prepare the sanding stick you will need a Popsicle sticks and glue.

put the glue on the stick.

then attached the sandpaper wait for it dry then do the process on the other side.

Now you have a sandpaper and a sanding stick. :)

Alternative Beams/Stick container

If you have been modifying or scratch building parts you might have already a lot of plastic beams, sticks, paint holders and other stuff just like below. And finding a place to store all this can be drastic. So here is a little tip that can help you.

Here is a PIK-NIK canister (255g) The height and diameter of this canister is ideal for holding plastic beams, sticks, etc. If you're canister is as narrow as Pringles or LAYS canister, it's more likely to stumble from time to time. but this one does not.

After eating all the PIK-NIK inside (I'm quite full now :D) and of couse clean it up first. i put all of my plastic beams, balloon sticks, part holders and all other stuff i can think of.

Another way to clean your table :)
note: if you can't find PIK-NIK in your place try looking for other products that have the same height and diameter. :)

you can also paint the canister if you like. And if you have great eyes you just had a preview of my next project. :)

Paint box storage

Here is my previous setup for storing my paints which is really not a good one, paints are stored lying down on one side and occupies a lot of space

Going into Handyman (Robinson's Ermita) i saw this plastic fortune box (mainly used for money storage). And since i'm already in the Hardware store i decided to buy some sandpapers as well, i'll post a tutorial on how to prepare your sandpapers up next.

Inside of the container is quite big. one column can occupy two small tamiya paint bottle.

gives me a new thrill to enter bakuc i mean Bandai Model Kit WORLD CUP!!!! Yup you heard it right.

As of now only US and i think Malaysia have announcement so it may be a new competition or this will replace BAKUC.

Reading through the US rules there are new options for all modeler's out there:
Main Category and Second Category

Main Category focus on an all modification war! This is where all modified kits battle it out to be their countries representative. There is also a new option for us! Group entry! yup there will be a group category on the Main category.

Second Category is mainly for the OOTB (Out of the Box) builds where it focus on mostly the basics, sealing, painting, and clean finishes.

Though the prizes indicate a Medal so we will not be seeing the BAKUC Trophy anymore i guess :(

Hope this will be implemented on the Philippines as well :)

Finished on the lower body. :) though i said this will be relax build after seeing the Movie Avatar for the fifth time, i can't resist to add some minor details on this build.

Slow progress!!! I've been busy with my new born baby. :D

As i have said on my previous update. Here is an explanation of this simple four legged modification of the 1/100 scale Tieren.

on the rear part of the Tieren there is a three outward PEG with a hole in the middle which has a diameter of 2mm, 3mm, 2mm

all you need to do is get a Tamiya plastic round beam with a diameter of 2mm and 3mm, actually you can even used the once on the runners if it has the same diameter indicated above or any similar round stick.

put the 2mm round beam on both outer PEG then put the 3mm on the center PEG.

On the second tieren, you will need to remove the rear part as well. Then attach the second Tieren, and that's it! You now have a four legged Tieren.

On the cannon's attachement at the back, simply glue or attach the cannon attachement in the arm to shoulder part as indicated below, and there you have it! Have fun building your own Four legged Tieren!

completed sanding and snapbuilding the two Tieren. combined the two Tieren and here is the result! :D

My Tieren Mammoth. Scrach build the two long barrel with balloon sticks, plastic beam round 2.0mm and plastic pipe 3.0mm.

For me this is a relax build because beside from the sanding part and the two SB long barrel everything is just a kit bash of the same kit. :D will explain more in details on the next WIP so stay tuned!

I need to pause on the Zeon Soul Striker project. After the excitement, pressure and anxiety of my wife's labor, I need a relaxing build.

On this wip i'll be using a 1/100 NG Tieren and i'll be using two Tieren for this project.

this project will be simple and i think anybody can do this but i'll explain the easy modification on the end of this wip.

The only difficult part on this WIP is the sanding and putty part. Who loves it anyway? the Tieren have seamlines all over.

below is progress i've done so far and finish on sealing and removing seamlines on these parts. Time to do a test fit :)

It may look like a spider or crab right now hehehe but once this is finish it will look more like a mammoth (or so... i hope)

July 23rd 2010 - 2am. My wife wake me up and she had blood spotting. Even though I'm exhausted i quickly jump-out of the bed call her doctor and ask what to do... My wife's will be giving birth!

My wife called her sisters and ask for assistance, her sister Blanca advise her to take a bath first before going to the hospital (Thanks Ate Blanca). Re-An and her mom Ate Ana help on calling a cab (Thanks Ate Ana and Re-An). Good thing all the stuff she and her baby need on the hospital are already packed 1 week before.

3am: Me and my wife arrived at Medical Center of Manila and she was assisted immediately.

The doctors says that her water already ruptured and already 2cm, so my wife still needs to go on the labor process for a VERY LONG TIME!

i constantly keep in touch with her doctor thanks to Dra. Christina Magtibay and the other doctors who take good care of my wife and baby.

around 9am: Her doctor advised me that she is still at 3cm, a very long way to go.

around 12nn: Her doctor told me that she reached 5cm, still a long way to go and at a very dangerous situation. If Sharon doesn't reached 8 or 9 cm around 3pm her doctor might CS her. I almost cried when her doctor told me that Sharon is already crying because of the pain.

I prayed to Dear God to gave her enough strength to withstand the pain able to have a normal birth.

3pm: She's only at 6cm... 14 hours of labor but her doctor still gave me hope to a normal labor since the baby inside and my wife's condition were still ok to give normal birth.

I went to the chapel, cried tears for prayers. Asking guidance and help for my baby and for Sharon. During that time i don't care if it is normal or CS. I just want them to be safe, i just want them by my side. I made a promise to God and cried.

around 4pm i went out to buy some food, on my way back i saw the big statue of Jesus. I hold it's hand and pray again. Waiting on the elevator my Mom called...

NANGANAK NA SI SHARON! (Sharon already gave birth!)

Excitement and anxiety, i couldn't wait for the elevator. I immediately run towards the stairs, i run as fast as i could up to fifth floor. exhausted and breathing hard... Her doctor is waiting the the delivery room and assisted me to the nursery room. There i see my baby Annika Shia...

6cm at 3pm opened upto 10cm around 4:30pm. It's a miracle no doubt. Thank you God!

My wife is now recovering and Annika Shia (you can caller her Ash for short) is having a good sleep now. :D

if in case your wondering what is my promise to God... I promised God that i will "Always be a good Father and a good Husband." :)

update: Arm Internal Skeletal and simple Head Mod

Ok this is an Old kit - yes a Master Grade but the arms are more like an NG
so i decided to make this a full skeletal Zaku Ver 1 revised :D

first i cut the part of the upper portion of the biceps which connect to the shoulder

will glue this two together

below you can see that it is very hallow *yeah doesn't seem like a Master Grade

i cut 8 pcs a Triangular Plastic Beam 0.5mm in 0.8mm in height and cement them together to make a square where i will glue the connector that i cut.

then is SB another connector to connect lower arm.

This how it looks like when combine

below how it will be connected so now i got an internal skeletal for the biceps :) will detail this further once i'm done doing the full arms.

also on the outer armor of the lower arm i cut the portion that hinder the articulation of the arms.

see how that simple cut make a big difference :)

ok now i will do a simple process on the head too. First i cut the female pegs where the PC part connects.

then attach it to the internal skull of the Zaku

see now i can connect the head even w/o the outer head armor.

now will support it with epoxy wood clay will detail this further once cured. That's all for now :)

WIP ZAKU ver 1 - III

update: body articulation Done!!!
you can see that i cut the lower part of the armor to allow the articulation done inside be emphasize

on the groin area i cut the front groin in two
also on the upper part of modified body i will re-add the part that i cut this will be the connector of the small cut part from the groin (see above)
added some plaplates on the small part so that i can easily cement it on the body.

i also cut a portion on small part attach this will allow the twisting of the upper body from left to right.
(make sure that the body twisting is realistic you wouldn't like it twisting in 180 degrees right?)

i cut a part on the PC part where the front skirts are connected so that the upper body can move like a Zaku ver 2. (this is important)
note: that i didn't cut too much(be careful not to cut the two ball joint hole)
see? fits perfectly.
doing this process you can see now that it's upper body and lower body move like a PG Zaku :D

Just yesterday got a serious accident. I was rushing going out that i bump my head to wood edge and seriously popping out some blood. it's about two inches. and 10 hairs lost.

i cut the part into

will use the same method as i used on my MG GP02A massacre
extra PC part and metal thingy

the upper bottom part i cut a small part to fit the PC part

on the lower part i drill a hole to snap the PC part

put the metal part

tananananan!
it can twist!

it can bend!

as easy as 1 2 3, no glue required :lol:

At last my very first Zaku!!!!

this kit is traded to my 2nd 1/100 Tieren :)

though it's only a version 1. it is perfect for my learning process and my training as well.

basically this kit seems like the old HG kits even though it's a master grade.

looking at the manual online it's just a semi-skeletal Master Grade.

PLAN:
modify articulation
make this a full Skeletal (PG like i hope)

SB waist i cut the small previous waist that is not proportion on the body and will rejoin them using a metal peg

added plaplates, putty and some details

i change the ball connector and use a circle peg instead that fits exactly to the metal connector

use another metal part to give more sturdy connector

as you may see that some details is not the same on both legs, well most of my works are always asymmetric designs.

update: joint articulation fixing.

one main problem of this kit is the joint

because of this ball joint thingy that tend to loose (reason: would the ball joint will ever hold the Shield???

so i will be cutting that joint and replace it with metal/aluminum screw part

cut the balls (i mean the ball joint)

then bore a hole in the PC part that connects to the ball

the screw should be like this

positioning the parts

hole in the wall! i mean PC part

snap fit the screwhole (sounds funny) - and fits so tight

now for the other screw
trim the screw like shown below

the purpose of this is that to allow the connector to move freely inside

it's a screw for your ball joint.
